Sometimes, the timeliness of a source (when was the information published/posted?) plays a large part in how it is evaluated. By virtue of their nature, some types of sources can be expected to provide instant-but-not-yet-fact-checked-accounts (social media posts), while others require months/years worth of research and editing before they are published (academic textbooks).
