The mission of the Digital Archiving Lab is to convert rare and unique archival materials to digital formats in support of the research and teaching goals of the UMW community. Using specialized equipment and specifications to properly handle materials, staff members digitize rare books, manuscripts, photographs, scrapbooks, and more. These digital objects can be accessed on many platforms among the Library's online digital collections. Materials may be digitized on demand, in accordance with the Library's digitization policy. Visit our scanning services page for more information.
