The U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) launches www.govinfo.gov and ushers in a new, dynamic way for the public to discover and access Government information on the three branches of the Federal Government. Govinfo is a user-friendly, modernized site that provides an easy to use navigation system accessible on smartphones, tablets, laptops and personal computers.

U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Clean Power Plan Proposed Rule. On June 2, 2014, EPA proposed a commonsense plan to cut carbon pollution from power plants. States, cities and businesses across the country are already taking action to address the risks of climate change. EPA's proposal builds on those actions and is flexible - reflecting that different states have a different mix of sources and opportunities, and reflecting the important role of states as full partners with the federal government in cutting pollution. This proposal will maintain an affordable, reliable energy system, while cutting pollution and protecting our health and environment now and for future generations.
Government Resources for K-12 is a brief libguide prepared by Barbie Selby, Regional Federal Depository Librarian for Virginia. It includes federal and state publications supporting Virginia SOLs (Standards of Learning) and General Educational Sites. This guide aims to fufill part of the depository community Virginia State Plan goal to collaborate with both public libraries and school libraries to raise awareness of and use of government information.
